World’s Top Ten Most Unwanted List
Reporters Without Borders just released its annual Enemies of the Internet list. In it’s report, RWB cites the activities of various countries to suppress free expression, from political uprisings to copyright. It’s not so much the top ten enemies list that is surprising. It includes countries one would expect to see. Countries with repressive regimes like China, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, and Iran. It is the “under surveillance” list that is most fascinating. This list includes Australia and India. Countries with, more or less, open societies. Regardless, it’s fascinating reading.
